This great finishing hole offers the possibility of heroics, but not without cost. Downwind it is reachable, but risky. The fairway narrows considerably as the tee shot becomes longer. The water left pulls the leftward bound tee ball into its unforgiving clasps with frightful ease. Left sloping fairway and deeply embanked hazard line makes this a three shot hole for most. Lay-up off the tee is the wise choice. Balls definitely travel farther than normal down the left side. Don’t lay-up too far though, encroaching trees on right and trap on left make for a tight second. Pin yardage a must on this massive green.
