The pin placement here determines the choice off the tee. If the pin sets on the top left shelf it is necessary to drive the ball between the ominous bunkers left and right leaving the short iron approach needed to hold the ball on that top shelf. Driver may still not be the right choice though, due to narrowing fairway and water tight right. Missing the top shelf will leave a difficult two putt at best. Front shelf pin allows the wise player to lay-up short of the bunkers taking them completely out of play. Be sure to hit enough club on your approach. The deep sloping front bunker is sure to produce some fried egg lies.
